What is Anytime Fitness?

Anytime Fitness began way back in 1983 and was founded by Jeff Klinger, Chuck Runyon, and Dave Mortensen. The initial idea was that the gym would always be open, 24/7, even during the holidays. They really took the concept of “anytime” literally.

This was a good move because there was now a gym available for people who could only work out during the night or in the early hours of the day.

Since then, Anytime Fitness expanded via franchising. To this day there are now over 1,900 locations all over the world. Members, within the US and abroad, now amount to well over 2 million people.

Today, the gym is now looking towards the online horizon. The Anytime Fitness gym is one of the first pioneers to launch an entirely online program for their members. Now they can continue training their members even if they do not physically meet each other at the gym.

They understand that people are spending more time working out at home than at an actual gym so they have brought their training services online.

How Does the Guest Pass/Free Trial Work?

The exact terms and agreements of the Anytime Fitness guest pass differ from location to location but there is a general system that all of them have to follow. Here’s how it basically works:

  • First you have to sign up for the free trial. The best way to do this is to get online at the official Anytime Fitness website and check for the nearest location.
  • When you get there, you will be given a form to fill out. This form generally lists down all the tools and services available during your free trial. Of course not everything will be given to you since the upper tier services are for paid members.
  • You will need to give a deposit. This deposit may be from $10 to $20. This is just a deposit so you will get this amount back in case you’re not happy with the free trial and you don’t want to continue or upgrade to full membership.
  • For that deposit you will be given full access to the gym as well as a key-card that serves as your gate pass in and out of the premises.
  • The Anytime Fitness guest pass is valid for 7 days. After seven days you will be required to either cancel further membership or continue with full access.

Full Membership at Anytime Fitness

When you do decide to go for full membership, you can either register for a single person or for two adults. Membership is available in monthly subscriptions or annual. There is also a one-time payment for the card-key. One of the best things is the lack of any initiation fee.

Membership at Anytime Fitness comes with a lot of benefits. Not only are you given 24/7 access to the gym and tanning rooms at any branch you come across but you are also given access to insurances, professional training, online tools, and more.

You can also add more to your membership. You can request for personal training, at the gym or online, and you also get higher benefits for constantly frequenting the facilities. You pay for these services and Anytime Fitness ensures that you get the most out of your investment.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re dead-set on improving your body, whether you want to drop some pounds or tone your muscles into perfection, then there should be no reason to drag you away from Anytime Fitness. There is a free trial already out there just waiting for you to grab so take the opportunity!

The Anytime Fitness free trial is for an entire week and throughout those seven days you have full access to the majority of their facilities and amenities. Go ahead and see for yourself why more than 2 million people stick with Anytime Fitness. If you don’t like what you get, then simply don’t upgrade to full membership.

  1. Happy I read the reviews before making my decision to join. I thought they were cheaper than most, but apparently I’m wrong on that too. I was planning on signing my nephew up with me, but don’t see anywhere that kids are allowed. Such a bomber! Guess I’ll just stick with Max Fitness. Smh

  2. I feel that this is a gimmick because I went to anytime fitness’s website, filled out the free 7 day pass form, and yet received nothing. No prompt telling me if and when I would get a pass. No email, call, text, or mail. Nothing. I don’t even know if I have a free pass or not. I’m not about to drive to the gym on the hopes that I do have a free pass. I got no instruction on how to use this so-called free pass. Now anytime fitness just has all my information which they clearly indicated they will be sharing but yet I still have no free pass. What a joke.

    • Maybe call them? I received an email shortly
After filling out the form for a free pass. Maybe it went to your spam folder in your email. Just a thought.
